Toffler夫妻、教育を語る。まとめるとこんなカンジ：
現在の学校教育は工場労働者を作るためのものであり、通学するのも、時間割も、すべては工場労働のための予行練習だ。しかし、工場労働が第一の働く手段でなくなった現在では、それを模した学教教育が行き詰まっているのは当たり前のことだ。
しかし、（ビル・ゲイツも同じ意見だが）その産業で働く人達があまりに多く（利害関係が複雑なので）現在の教育を改革するのは既に無理である。そうでなく、新しいものに「置き換える」しかない。
日本に行ったときに（学校教育関係者に）「クリエイティブでイノベーティブな」学生を育てたいと言われた。しかし、そこで彼らがやろうとしていたのはインドの学校がやっている二桁の掛け算（注：ビデオでは3桁の掛け算と言っているがそれは間違いだと思う）をやらせることなのだ。こんな今やっていることをただ延長するだけじゃ全く希望はないね。
