WEB文化の「ヴァーリ・トゥード」性の中で特に受け入れ難いものが、「タブーについて論じようとする姿勢」ではないかと思う。タブーを全否定するわけではなく、議論しようとすることだ。どんなタブーがあり、その境界線はどうなっていて、どのように運用されていて、それによって誰が救われて、副作用としてどういう問題が起きているのか。代替策は無いのか。WEB文化は、そういうことを全部クリアにしてから結論を出そうとする。
「タブーの存在について論じることが最大のタブー」であることを権力の基盤としている人たちとその文化が全面衝突するのだ。むしろ、タブーを最初から否定する方がまだ許容されやすいだろう。
